Given the choice, I would have my life over again -have no regrets. A positive outlOok on life, Accept life`s curved balls - enjoy the colourful tapestry of life. I am generally a happy person... oh, I am very organized.
I love the outdoors, walking, cycling, running, swimming... a failry new ex-pat from South Africa. I arrived in Sept 2008 - would love to make a few good friends. Its not that easy in a strange country.
I recently sold my Photography Business back home, hung my cameras up professionally after 23 years and am enjoying a new adventure in the UK for a few years. My family are in Germany and SA -I have 2 sons - 32 and 34. We are a close family. I plan to return home(SA) in or 3 years time..
Am failry well travelled - have had a very interesting life. Dont mind my own company and am rarely bored...
I love music - when walking or running, my ipod is plugged in, and you will probably hear me singing( or trying to )..I love nature.. am very aware of my surroundings and its beauty and colour.
I love dogs - I dont have one here in the UK but have a very loyal Daschund waiting for me to return one day... I do miss her an awful lot.
I have a seaside home back in SA - all of 100 metres from the surf. My utopia that I rarely took for granted.
I do enjoy my own company - there is a difference between being alone and being lonely. A good friend is most definately missing - it might be the very person reading this... who knows.
Oh, I am German - grew up in SA..home language is English.

Seeing that there are a limited number of decent coffee shops - I would say Costas or Starbucks... that is something we boast of in my home town ( Port Elizabeth) great coffee shops !!

Para-sailing - tried once in Bali - loved it and would love to try again
Trying my hand at golf ( I started to play and then my golfing partner was transferred to another town).. spent a lot of time finding balls in the rough !!

I dont specifically look for anything in particular - the connection is immediate - its there or its not.Narratives are a good place to start for me.
I do however, enjoy articulate, well groomed, neat, intelligent company - a dry sense of humour is very becoming.. someone that makes a difference to my day...
Someone I can rely on - whose friendship is constant... someone I can trust explicitly... does not drop the ball when it counts...
Distinguished looking would be a bonus...someone I can belly laugh with.. someone I think about when we are apart..
