I enjoy my work (education) but do not live to work; other interests such as reading, karate, running, films, theatre, yoga, charity work, spending time with family and friends and helping others. I seek to be at peace with myself and others, especially a life partner.

Widowed approx 14 years ago, I live in the countryside which is beautiful and have three sons, returning home from time to time in holidays. I love gardening and the fresh air but also enjoy visiting art galleries.

I look for thoughtfulness and compassion but at the same time a gentle strength of character; openmindedness without being weak and easily led; an ability to think for oneself and yet not judge others for being different. Someone with a sense of humour and adventure, who is not arrogant or moody but positive by nature and desires to increase their depth of experience in life; someone who wants to find a special lady for a mutual understanding of respect and love. I hope this does not sound too daunting!
