I Would Describe Myself As

I am a Catholic who likes the Tridentine Mass, but due to circumstances can't always make it to weekly Mass (I am working on sorting this problem out)...I am also in the middle of taking a degree in Philosophy, which I really love. Last year I took a module in Philosophy of Mind, and found that fascinating, and so now I want to take a conversion course (next year) in Psychology. Psychology is something I have considered doing since my teens, but for various reasons put it off. I enjoy Philosophy because I am fascinated with understanding other peoples ideas, and how the mind works. Besides this I am a part-time projectionist at the Uni, and before that worked in my home town doing the same - until the local cinema closed at Christmas 2007...I just heard it is reopening, so I will be back there soon. At the moment I am living with my parents because my dad is severely disabled and my mum, and he, need support. I intend later this year to get my own place near by so I can have my independence back, but still be able to help out. I want to get into reading novels, and sharing ideas about what I have read; and I would like to share watching films, especially French cinema, and funny enough Disney films (those made before about 1982) - the films I like are fun, or if serious at least not depressing, I like entertainment to be entertaining and give hope. I love real ales, but have to watch the drinking because I am inclined to put weight on too quickly! I love cooking, especially bread - but again, can't allow myself to do too much because it is not good for me! I am not a particular type of person, I am open to new suggestions...so, whatever I write/tick in this profile don't think I am rigidly stating what I want, because that is not true.

Dinner at a relaxed restaurant, with some wine and good conversation...then on to the the theatre, perhaps a musical. If you wanted a quieter time, then I would love a day in the country, and maybe a picnic in the better weather, or we could find some rustic country pub to dine out at. Looking at historic country churches would be a wonderful way for us to talk, discuss, and get to know each other in the afternoon.

I've Always Wanted To Try

Sailing - I love the sea, but have never spent much time near it. I would love to live on the sea shore one day. And I would love to try my hand at pottery making, and be creative...or maybe some other sort of cottage craft. I would really love to get involved in the Arts & Crafts movement, but have no idea where to start with this ambition.

Career wise, I am now set on training to be a psychologist, once the Philosophy degree is over (I would like to continue doing projection work as a hobby only). I would like a family for sure, children either my own or adopted. In general I would like to be able to help other people to the maximum of my potential, through sharing, mutual support, and giving love. Moving to live by the sea is one thing I would love to be able to do.

I am not a very particularly fussy person, I am easy going and open to suggestions, and want to be a part of your life. I really like site seeing, and learning about new places. Someone who is spiritual, and not materialistic. I don't care about money, so I look for same minded people...though I am, of course, aware that money is important and use it responsibly (I am also a book-keeper). Someone who is giving and kind hearted, and a good listener...and it means a great deal to me that they like to communicate about themselves, sharing their ideas, goals, and sorrows with me. I would love to know someone who wants me to be a part of THEIR life, in all its joys and sadnesses. I am not very particular, so I am happy to know others of any age or race - and I am very happy to have a friendship with you if that is all you/we want, or take it further if it is what you/we want - my idea is to take things as they come, and respond to relationships as they naturally develop in whatever way is appropriate/natural. I like to take things easy, and be open minded (but still act as a Catholic should).
