Well, I think the important thing is to have a chance to chat and get to know each other on a first date, so perhaps coffee or a drink in a comfortable place where there is not too much noise. For a longer meeting, perhaps a meal or a walk, but it should be in a public place for safety reasons.

Meine Vorstellung von Spaß ist

I love theatre and go once or twice a month to plays locally. I also enjoy ballet, opera and classical concerts, as well as exhibitions at art galleries and museums. I enjoy going to National Trust properties, and also enjoy walking, though I'm not as fit as I'd like to be. I belong to a leisure club and go to the gym, pool, sauna etc - I should go more often than I do! I love reading and am in two reading groups - I really enjoy discussing the books and finding out what other people think of them, and it makes me read things that I wouldn't otherwise have come across. I also enjoy making things and being creative - especially cross stitch and knitted toys (not that I'm expecting a partner to take part in all my interests!) I go to Mass weekly and am a reader and flower arranger at church.
