Hi there and thanks for taking a look at my profile. I'm an easy going sociable guy who likes travel, the Arts, friendship, family and Nature. I'm quite creative and love music, particularly classical and opera. If you know your Chopin from your Beethoven that will earn brownie points! I also play (badly) and compose (somewhat better) for the piano when the muse takes me!

I have a wide variety of interests but particularly like creative hobbies and the great outdoors. I recently enjoyed a great holiday in California taking in some fantastic National Parks and feel that I only just scratched the surface of their beauty. I've got many more interesting things to do than work but like most of us it's just a means to an end!

I have three teenage daughters who are a large part of my life and who I'm completely devoted to. It's so wonderful watching them grow up and being a part of their lives. Parenting is a lifelong commitment and I'm more than comfortable with that. I'm not looking for anyone to be a mother figure just to acknowledge that I have other responsibilities.

I also enjoy reading (am in a local book club which is a fun, rather wine soaked affair) cinema, tennis, running,cycling, theatre, art galleries, walking, gardening, the coast etc. There's obviously lots more but lets meet first!

What Do You Look For?

Well, just like us men you ladies come in all shapes and sizes and with multi-faceted personalities. My female friends think they know the type I like...someone petite in stature, of slim to skinny build and with auburn hair. Truth is I've never been out with anyone who fits that description so I'm open minded! Some celebrity ladies that I like include Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Fiona Bruce and Michelle Dockery (Lady Mary) from Downton Abbey.

While physical appearance is important, in many ways I'm much more concerned with character and emotional intelligence. I like a lady who can express her feelings and articulate her thoughts. I'd love to meet a woman who is graceful, charming and feminine. Someone who is not opinionated but can have opinions about life and the broader universe...that might be code for someone who likes to chat! If you are sensitive to others and truly know how to share then I'm sure we will probably get along well.
