Ich würde mich selbst beschreiben als

I was born in Virginia, grew up outside Chicago, lived in Washington DC and now live in Memphis. I am a civil servant for the Federal Government. I am active in my church: a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Parish Religious Education assistant, KOC Ladies Auxiliary member, and member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. I attend Mass daily, attend Holy Hour at least once a week, and take Bible Study classes whenever they are offered. My family is very important to me. I come from a big family (3 sisters and 2 brothers, plus assorted in-laws and 3 nephews and 2 nieces) and am close to all my family. I have traveled a lot in the USA (visited almost all of the mainland states and Hawaii) and enjoy taking driving trips, but I am mostly a homebody these days (because I don't have anyone to travel with). I would like to visit Europe some day. I like to read, do crafts, watch movies (classics, romances, comedies), bake (I am told I make the best brownies and my chocolate chip cookies receive raves), play board games and cards, do crossword and jigsaw puzzles, eat out with friends, attend concerts and theater performances, attend local festivals and fairs, visit museums, and like most kinds of music. I also like to spend time at home relaxing when I get a chance. I enjoy walking in the neighborhood, the park or the woods. I like to watch football (I am a Steelers fan!). I am not too interested in other sports, although I'm not adverse to attending/watching any sporting events and cheering! I have two cats...yes, I am a cat person (not a crazy cat lady), but not much of a dog person. I live a pretty normal (unexciting?) life. I attend daily Mass at 6:15 before heading to the office. I sometimes stop for adoration before coming home. I feed the cats and then head out to any meetings or classes or other events in the evening. I come home, go to bed (hopefully early) and get up and do it all again. On the weekends, I do chores and run errands, spend time with friends: lunch, shopping (although I don't really like to shop much), movies. I am a quiet, down to earth person. I am not good with subtleties or spontaneity (for the most part), preferring straight talk and having time to plan. I would like to find someone who has the same interests as me, who will be my best friend and companion, and will love and respect me.
